SECCIMA Chair Charges Firms To Utlilsie Enugu Fair Maximally

The Director General of the South East Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (SECCIMA), Henry Nduka-Awuregu has urged Nigerian firms to maximse the opportunity presented by the ongoing Enugu international trade fair.

He particularly encouraged exhibitors to seize the opportunity of the fair to showcase not only goods and services but our various culture also as to consolidate our national unity.

Awuregu who spoke at the 2020 Cultural Day Celebration of Elder Justice Onuh International Schools, Aba, Abia State emphasized on the need for cultural and ethnic tolerance in Nigeria as a way of ensuring peace, prosperity and progress of our nation.

He commended Elder Justice Onuh International Schools, where he is also a Founding Director, for the way and manner they inculcated the love and respect for diverse cultures of Nigeria among their students.

The SECCIMA DG said, “for our businesses to thrive in every part of Nigeria, we must appreciate the unity in our diversity. It is an advantage that we are multi cultural in this country which if well managed can result to multiple opportunity for economic growth.”

The Director General used the opportunity to invite Nigerians to the ongoing Enugu International Trade Fair saying it could create opportunity for Nigerians to consolidate national unity.

Amongs the objectives of the fair, are to intensify efforts towards boosting the capacity and quality of local industries , to expose and promote the vast investment and business opportunities in Nigeria, and to facilitate the exchange of technical and commercial information and the expansion of trade transaction in order to enhance the development of the national economy.

It is also to provide the forum for the comparison of local products with foreign ones to achieve qualitative economic development of the nation and for healthy competition, to create a conducive atmosphere for demonstrating the latest industrial and technological innovations, and also to expose and promote the Nigerian non-oil exportable commodities, for robust economic growth and development.
