Scottish League: Celtic Demolishes Ross County 5-0

It is an interesting result from the Scottish League this weekend where Celtic extended her Premiership lead by thrashing Ross County 5-0

Interesting for the winners because all the goals came in the first stanza of play, even as it demonstrated readiness to increase the tally.

Paulo Bernardo slotted in the third and Callum McGregor smashed home for the sixth time this season from outside the box to keep the goals flowing.

Adam Idah then curled home his eighth goal of the campaign.

However, they had already done enough damage to stretch their lead over second-placed Aberdeen and open up a 14-point gap on Rangers, who travel to St. Johnstone on Sunday.

“For a complete 90 minutes, that was so good on the back of a tough Champions League game in midweek,” said Rodgers.

“All the guys who came in can be called starters. We need that competition and energy because we put so much into the games.”

Still on the Scottish League, Hibs moved off the foot of the table with a much-needed 3-0 win at Motherwell to ease the pressure on manager David Gray.

Dundee United moved level on points with Rangers thanks to a 2-0 win over St. Mirren.
