Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori’s Many Milestones 1 Year In Office As Governor

Recently, Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, marked one year in office. Aside all the celebrations and other commemorative activities, Deltans have been excited by the many completed projects by the administration across the three senatorial districts
Here are highlights of those projects already done by His Excellency:
1. Ongoing completion of the agro Industrial Park at Azagba-Ogwashi.
2. Recruitment of over 2500 teaching and non-teaching staff in 22 LGAs.
3. Ongoing construction of the internal roads in Warri metropolis.
4. Ongoing construction of flyover at PTI junction, Effurun, Delta State by Julius Berger.
5. Provision of over 60 transformers in different parts of the state through the Ministry of Energy.
6. Ongoing reconstruction of Uti road, Effurun.
7. Ongoing construction of the Isoko ring road.
8. Payment of N5.522bn promotion arrears for civil servants.
9. Executive order for the evacuation of the illegal market at Otovwodo.
10. Executive order for the demolition of illegal structures that are blocking water channels.
11. Facilitated and guaranteed N40bn pensions payment to LGA pensioners.
12. Approval of palliative payment of N10,000 to each of the 50,196 civil servants in Delta State including the 10 tertiary institutions for three (3) months.

13. Approval of rotational work schedule for all civil servants between grade Levels 1-14 for a maximum of three (3) days a week till further notice while levels 15 and above are to work out what is convenient in their respective MDAs while encouraging working remote

14. Reconstruction of the collapsed Umeh bridge.
15. Ongoing construction of Orere-Ewu bridge at Ewu, Ughelli South Local Government Area.
16. Desilting of blocked drainages as part of measures to tackle flooding in Warri, Uvwie and environs.
17. Ongoing completion of Kwale-Beneku bridge.
18. Completion of Ohorhe-Adagbrasa-Ugolo-Okuodiete road with a spur from Adagbrasa to Ughwagba community to Okan junction along the Eku-Osubi-Effurun Road in Okpe Local Government Area.
19. Construction of an access road to Federal Housing Estate, Ugboroke. This project was initiated by the last administration and completed by Governor Sheriff Oborevwori.
20. Ongoing reconstruction of Upper and Lower Erejuwa Roads in Warri which includes the reconstruction of the lower Erejuwa bridge. .
21. Rehabilitation of Esisi Road from Warri Sapele Road to Estate roundabout with a spur to Nana College to link Ajamimogha.
22. Ongoing rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of the failed sections of PTI Road in Effurun, Uvwie Local Government Area.
23. Rehabilitation and asphalt overlay of Oviri Court-Adagbrasa Road in Okpe Local Government Area.
24. Approval of the construction of roads around Otovwodo junction in Ughelli North Local Government Area
25. Ongoing construction of Nsukwa-Umute-Adonte Road Phase 1 from Nsukwa to Umute in Aniocha South Local Government Area.
26. Remedial works for the failed approach to the bridge at Bedesegba along Ohoror-Bomadi Road in Bomadi Local Government Area.

27. Installation of all-in-one LED solar powered street lights from Effurun roundabout to NPA through Effurun-Sapele road and Warri-Sapele road in Uvwie and Warri South Local Government Areas.
28. Approval of the payment of the 2023 counterpart fund for the Universal Basic Education Programme and for the organisation/hosting of the 7th Edition of the National Youth Games in the state.
29. Ratification of the appointment of some traditional rulers including; the appointment of HRM Macaulay Popo Ovbagbedia, Uhurhie-Sadjere II as the Ohworode of Olomu Kingdom. HRM Clement Oghenerukevwe Ikolo as the Ovie of Ewu Kingdom in Ughelli South; HRM Ogheneochuko Morris Eyekpimi – Egbobonyen as the Orosuen of Okere Urhobo Kingdom in Warri South and HRM Obi Emmanuel Chukwuka as Obi of Umute Kingdom in Aniocha South LGA.
30. Ongoing construction of the Isoko and Ogwashi-Uku sections of the Asaba-Ughelli Highway.
31. Ongoing completion of Ishiagu bridge.
32. Completion of the New High Court Complex at Asaba.
33. Reconstruction of the bridge railings at the Udu bridge.
34. Ongoing reconstruction of the Umutu-Obiaruku-Abraka-Eku old road.
35. Ongoing construction of fyover at DSC roundabout and a cloverleaf interchange on the existing Effurun roundabout flyover.
36. Emergence of Delta as the safest state for oil and gas investments.
37. Payment of the 2023 bursary to Delta state students.
38. Ongoing construction of Jolly Avenue, Onicha-Ugbo, Aniocha North Local Government Area, Delta State.
39. Approval of 100 hectares of land for the Federal University of Medical and Health Sciences, Kwale, Ndokwa West Local Government Area, Delta State.
40. Ongoing construction of Uruevwere/Ophororo/Uvwriche/Ogode/Owarovwori Agadama road with a spur at Ogode to Oreba/Awon road phase 1 from Uruevwere to Ophororo in Uwheru clan, Ughelli North Local Government Area, Delta State.
41. Reconstruction of the failed portions of Ibusa road, Asaba, Delta State.
42. Reconstruction of Otovwodo road, Ughelli, Ughelli North Local Government Area with concrete pavement.
43. Reconstruction of Edo guest house road, Ekpan, Uvwie Local Government Area, Delta State.
44. Provision of ICT equipments at Delta State Polytechnic, Ogwashi-Uku.
45. Ongoing construction of Ajuya Street, Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State.
46. Ongoing construction of Egbe Street, Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State.
47. Ongoing construction of College road, Warri South Local Government Area, Delta State.
48. Launching of a comprehensive support system for the empowerment of 5,426 Deltans, comprising 1,600 petty traders, 1,826 artisans and 2000 female entrepreneurs across the state.
49. Approval for the release of funds to support the activities of the D-CARES Programme across various delivery platforms. D-CARES means Delta Covid-19 Action Recovery and Stimulus.
50. Ongoing reconstruction of the Old Ughelli-Warri road in Agbarho Town, Ughelli North Local Government Area.
51. Completion of a Lecture Hall at Nigeria Maritime University Okerenkoko, internal roads in Kokodiama, drains in Kurutie, and construction of a Model Secondary School at Ogulagha.
52. Reconstruction and furniting of Egbo-Uhurie Primary School, Egbo-Uhurie, Ughelli South Local Government Area, Delta State.
53. Completion of the Okpanam-Ibusa bypass.
