Roma Coach Mourinho Banned For ‘Cry Baby’ Gesture Towards Monza Bench 

Jose Mourinho, the head coach of Roma, will miss one Serie A game after allegedly making a “provocative” gesture towards the Monza bench.

In the final seconds of the Serie A match against Monza, the referee issued Mourinho a red card. After his team gained a late 1-0 lead thanks to Stephan El Shaarawy, the Portuguese coach made a ‘cry-baby’ gesture at the opposition’s bench.

The Roma coach was dismissed after the fourth official noticed his insult. The 60-year-old will not be permitted to stand on the sidelines during his team’s following match, according to Serie A’s sports judge. The decision means that Mourinho will miss Roma’s trip to Inter, the club he managed for two seasons, winning two Serie A championships and the Champions League.

The Europa League match between Roma and Slavia Prague will be managed by Jose on Thursday before his team travels to Milan.
