Robbery: Youth Leader Gives Kudos To Governor For Rapid Intervention

The youth leader, Ilasan Housing Estate, Eti-osa, Lagos, Mr. Pitt Omolade, has commended the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwolu, for his rapid intervention in curbing the perpetual robbery in the state.

Pitt said, while addressing the youths of the estate on Tuesday that the governor had really done well in ordering the Commissioner of Police, CP Zubairu Muazu, to mobilise  all police officers and contend with the hoodlums.

This came against the backdrop of incessant attacks on residents, especially in  Agege, Ogba and Ejigbo.

He advised the commissioner against relenting in his efforts especially in this period of COVID-19 pandemic.

He described an unfortunate, the fact that most of the perpetrators were youths who were supposed to be the leaders of tomorrow.

Omolade praised the chairman of the Community Development Association of the estate, Mr. Sulaiman Kazeem for his regular advice for the youths urging the latter to emulate the chairman in the area in the area of rendering social development within the community.

“I urge the residents of Lagos State and other states that are affected with this  lockdown imposition to kindly comply with the the rules because the situation is beyond the  state and the federal government capacity. I pray that we will all enjoy in the end by the grace of God,” he said.

A resident of the estate, Mr. Tayo Aromire, said youths of the estate had usually endeavoured to be law-abiding in their activities.

“I commend the CDA chairman, Mr. Sulaiman Kazeem, the ward E councilor, Mr. Ogunderu Murphy, the local government chairman, Mr. Bakonle Saheed and the state governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwolu for their positive impact since the rise of covid-19,” he said
