Revealed: Kylian Mbappe’s Transfer Stance If PSG Suffer Early UCL Exit

A “last opportunity” to sign with Real Madrid is drawing up, but Kylian Mbappe future is not directly related to PSG’s Champions League run.

As the final round of group stage matches approaches, the Ligue 1 champions could lose out on a spot in the premier continental competition’s last-16. Since Mbappe hasn’t triggered a contract extension into the summer of 2024, there have been rumours that a loss in the Europa League might prompt him to pursue a move abroad.

According to L’Equipe, that is untrue, as the World Cup-winning France international will weigh a variety of circumstances before determining what his short- and long-term goals are. There are reportedly no assurances that Mbappe will follow Paris Saint-Germain out of the Champions League at Parc des Princes.

PSG continues to hope that Mbappe may be persuaded to sign new contract. A totally new contract is in the works, even if he hasn’t exercised his option for an extension. The two-year agreement that was reached back in May 2022 would be far longer than that one.

Mbappe knows that Real Madrid is still keeping an eye on him, even though there’s a chance he’ll decide to stay in the French capital. The Blancos’ pursuit of obtaining his signature would come to an end if the 24-year-old signed a new contract in Paris. He would then have to decide whether to pursue further chances in his native country or in Spain.
