Revealed: Inter Miami Set Date For Messi Unveiling Event

The date of Inter Miami’s anticipated unveiling of Lionel Messi in front of their supporters has been revealed.

Messi, whose relocation to the United States was officially announced last month, became an unrestricted free agent at the end of June.

He will soon be introduced as a new Inter Miami player. A’major revealing event’ will take place on July 16 at 8 p.m. ET, the club announced in a statement to reporters. However, the club did not formally mention Messi’s name.

According to the Daily Mail, Jordi Alaba and Sergio Busquets, two of the Argentine’s former teammates at Barcelona, will also be presented in front of the fans as the club’s new signings.

The seven-time Ballon d’Or winner is anticipated to make his MLS debut on July 21 against Cruz Azul in the first game of the inaugural Leagues Cup after being introduced by the team.

On Saturday’s MLS match against DC United, Inter Miami will be back in action.
