Revealed: Huge Price Arsenal Must Pay To Sign Onana 

Amadou Onana, Everton’s midfielder, is apparently of interest to Arsenal, although any transfer move would require them to fork over an enormous sum of money.

The Gunners are rumoured to be searching for additional steel for their engine room, with the January recruitment market set to open in 2024. In the summer of 2023, they lavished £105 million ($133 million) on Declan Rice, but they believe that more security is needed in the centre of the park.

TEAMtalk claims that the north London outfit’s quest has pointed them towards Belgium international Onana. Having established himself in the Premier League over the course of 18 months at Goodison Park, the 22-year-old had previously been linked to Chelsea and Manchester United.

Everton splashed out £33m ($42m) on Onana when snapping him up from Lille in 2022, and have seen his stock soar since then. With that in mind, it is claimed that his asking price has risen above the £70m ($89m) mark and could come in as high as £90m ($114m).

Everton is a reluctant seller, especially in the midst of a season where they are fighting to avoid relegation, but Mikel Arteta‘s goal of bolstering his title-chasing squad at Emirates Stadium may prompt Arsenal to take a look in the near future.
