Real Madrid Willing To Offload Vinicius Jr If Mbappe Joins In The Summer

Real Madrid is reportedly willing to offload Vinicius Jr if they sign Kylian Mbappe in the summer, which has Manchester United on high alert.

Sport reports that if Real Madrid is able to sign the Paris Saint-Germain forward who is still unsure about his future, they have “already decided” to offload Vinicius. Madrid is keen to add a world-class player to their attacking line after adding Jude Bellingham to their midfield last summer.

President Florentino Perez reportedly views Mbappe as the club’s potential star player from next season onwards, as he does not believe Vinicius has the potential to be the marquee face of Madrid. However, the Brazilian signed a contract extension in October until 2027 and had earlier vowed to continue playing for Los Blancos until returning to boyhood club Flamengo in the twilight of his career.

According to reports, Mbappe wants to move to the Spanish capital for €70 million (£60 million/$76 million) a year, plus a €125 million (£107 million/$136 million) transfer bonus. Real Madrid is prepared to give him €35 million (£30 million/$38 million) a year, which would still make him the highest-paid player in the team, but they are unwilling to alter their salary structure.

Manchester United is reportedly willing to pay £130 million ($165 million) for the Brazilian and is closely monitoring the situation. Although keeping Mbappe at the Parc des Princes is still a possibility, Madrid may be persuaded to accept the offer because bringing him to Santiago Bernabeu would undoubtedly hurt their budget.
