Real Madrid Boss Ancelotti Reveals Difference Between EPL And La Liga

Carlo Ancelotti, the manager of Real Madrid, has argued that La Liga has more tactical sophistication over the Premier League.

One of Europe’s most successful coaches, Carlo Ancelotti, was questioned about the distinction between La Liga and the Premier League after Los Blancos defeated Celta Vigo with ease on Sunday. In both leagues, the Italian manager has taken home significant trophies.

In a post match press conference, Ancelotti compared the two top flights: “It’s different. This doesn’t mean better or worse. There are less tactics. On a tactical level, La Liga is much better than the English one. If we talk about intensity, rhythm, the English league may have more. But the Spanish has more tactical quality.”

This season, Ancelotti’s Madrid team has emerged victorious in La Liga despite an early deficit against surprise contenders Girona. They defeated Celta 4-0 to extend their winning streak to 22 games.

March 16 will see the Madrid manager lead his team’s La Liga matchup against Osasuna. After the international break, on March 31, they will resume play.
