‘Qualities That Make Atiku Better Than Obi, Tinubu’

Atiku better qualified? –  Director of Strategic Communication of the Atiku/Okowa Presidential Campaign Council of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dele Momodu  has listed qualities he said makes Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, a better candidate than his opponents.

Momodu spoke against the background of increasing comparism between Abubakar, and Mr Peter Obi of the Labour Party on the one hand, and the two against the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer, Senator Bola Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress (APC)

In an interview he granted Tribune Momodu said for example, that there is no comparism between a man who has been Vice President and another who was governor in a state, implying that the former was more suited for the office of the president of the country.

Atiku better qualified? – 2 Both Obi and Tinuba, had been governors of states, Anambra and Lagos respectively before the current dispensation, as compared to Atiku who had been vice president, in addition to being elected governor of Adamawa before now.

According to Momodu, not even in terms of the level of education, does any of the other candidates match his boss.

He described Abubakar as one of most educated Nigerians, but who does not believe in flaunting his educational qualification.

He said Atiku Abubakar studied at home and abroad, and had had no question marks on his education thus far. This, according to him, is another reason why Atiku Abubakar should be preferred ahead of the other presidential candidates.

Equally, he adds, Atiku Abubakar is a child of destiny, who though was equal to the mark In 1993, but decided to step down for Chief M.K.O. Abiola at the Social Democratic Party (SDP) primaries in Jos, Plateau State.

Atiku better qualified? – 3  He added: “He was supposed to be the running mate to Chief Abiola but they picked Alhaji Babagana Kingibe.

“He never complained. He went back home quietly. After he won the governorship election in Adamawa, his home state, they pulled him out to become the Vice President to Chief Olusegun Obasanjo.

“That is how you know a child of destiny. He didn’t have to fight for it. Even when he began to have problems with his boss, he never at any time raised voice against his principal”.

Momodu, journalist and publisher of long years standing, said the PDP presidential candidate took all with uncommon equanimity, and has proven not to be a reckless leader, a quality he says also makes him the best candidate for the job come 2023.

According to him, Nigeria at this time needs a man of requisite experience in both public and private sectors, most composed man who would be able to tackle its myriad of challenges
