PSG Confident Of Winning 100m Bruno Transfer Race

Bruno Guimaraes, who has a £100 million ($127 million) release clause at Newcastle, is reportedly a target for Paris Saint-Germain in the transfer market.

The future of the Brazil international midfielder at St. James’ Park is being questioned as the Magpies struggle to meet the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR). To tick those boxes, sales might be necessary, as competitors throughout Europe are bound to find Bruno appealing.

The Mirror claims that PSG, the high-spending Ligue 1 team, has their sights set on the South American maestro. It is said that the French capital has established initial contact and that discussions are already underway with Bruno’s advisors.

The elegant 26-year-old is reportedly admired by Real Madrid as well, but if a deal needs to be made, he won’t come cheap. Bruno signed a new deal with Newcastle in January 2022 after leaving Lyon for £34 million (US$43 million). The contract contains a nine-figure release clause.

Bruno is rumoured to be content to stay in Newcastle after receiving a warm reception from the club’s ardent supporters, and he has no intention of upsetting anyone on Tyneside by making a move. He is getting close to making 100 appearances for the Magpies and feels at home in England with his family.
