PSG CEO Nasser Al-Khelaifi Makes Telling Mbappe Admission Behind Closed Doors

The CEO of PSG, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, has conceded that Kylian Mbappe will sign a summer transfer to Real Madrid.

As per AS, the head of Paris Saint-Germain has disclosed in private that Kylian Mbappe has already signed a contract with Real Madrid and will join them at the conclusion of the current campaign. Additionally, he has told the team not to present the player with any more contract offers.

The erratic French player was reportedly approached by Los Blancos in the first week of January to inquire about his interest in returning for the upcoming campaign, according to Marca. Following the player’s verbal assent, the club started contract negotiations with him, his mother, and his agent Fayza Lamari. The Spanish powerhouses reportedly intended to present Mbappe to their supporters in July, according to the report.

Since the start of the 2023–24 season, the Ligue 1 winners have been attempting to persuade the 25-year-old to sign a new contract. Had he signed a new contract, he would not have been able to walk away from the team for free in the summer of 2024. But the captain of France declined to sign the contract, and he has since told his teammates that he will be departing as a free agent.

The winger is enjoying a rich vein of form in the ongoing campaign having scored 32 goals in 31 matches across all competitions. He will be next seen in action for the club on Sunday when they take on Rennes in a Ligue 1 clash.
