Policeman Who Killed Omobolanle Raheem Wanted To Kill Her Sister Too -Husband
The policeman who killed Omobolanle Raheem, my wife, also wanted to kill her sister, husband of the late lawyer, Mr Gbenga Raheem has said.
Mr Raheem’s assertion is coming amidst wide-spread condemnation of the action of the policeman, identified as Assistant Superintendent of Police, Drambi Vandi.
Mr Raheem who shed light on the circumstances in an interview with Punch narrated that the sister inlaw was amongst cousins, nephews and nieces who were in the car with the couple when the shooting incident took place.
He added that Vandi, the policeman who killed Omobolanle Raheem, also pointed his gun at the sister inlaw, in the struggle that ensued.

He said these much in an interview he granted Punch, saying that having come out of a supermarket where they picked items, that they were now heading towards Ajah to do a U-turn to come back to Abraham Adesanya, their residential area when the incident happened.
“When we took the U-turn, we saw policemen stopping some vehicles. As we approached them, they said we should stop, and in the process, we heard a loud sound on my wife’s side window. All of a sudden, I saw blood gushing out of her chest.
“I immediately ran out; my sister-in-law, who was also with us, ran out and held the policeman; he cocked his gun at her too. Talking to him was pointless, so I went to see if anything could be done; I saw my wife gasping for breath, and by that time, my sister-in-law had brought the policeman into the car and pushed him into the front seat”.
PUNCH Metro gathered that Bolanle, a graduate of the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ago Iwoye, Ogun State, recently moved from litigation practice to property law.

Other details relating to the incident include that the late Omobolanle was the Chief Executive Officer of Croston Homes and co-founder, City Building, a real estate and property development company.
She is said to have been a Sunday school teacher with the Olive Tree Parish, Banana Island, Ikoyi. Lagos parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God.
