Police Reacts To Four Corner Junction Mishap Which Claimed 11
The police has reacted to the road mishap near Four Corner Junction of the Enugu-Port Harcourt Expressway that claimed 11 lives,
The police reacted via a statement issued by its spokesman, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, on Monday in Enugu.
Ndukwe said that the Commissioner of Police, Mr Ahmed Ammani, had directed the Motor Traffic Department (MTD) of the Command to commence investigation immediately on the mishap, which happened about 9p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30.
The commissioner’s directive read partly thus: “Kindly be informed that there was a fatal motor accident on Oct. 30 at about 9:30p.m., involving a Toyota Hiace Bus with registration number KTG 41 XD, carrying 11 passengers and a driver, traveling from Owerri, Imo State to Kano State.
“The vehicle is reported to have plunged into a broken-down and stationary Howo Sino Truck, at Akegbe-Ugwu close to Four Corner Junction, along Enugu-Port-Harcourt Expressway and bust into fire.

“This led to 11 of the travelers suffering severe burns before emergency help could get to them.
“They were taken to the hospital and confirmed dead by doctors on duty:, he said
