Police Arrest Jealous Husband Who Stabbed Bishop To Death

It is now confirmed the jealous husband who stabbed a bishop to death in Oshogbo, for allegedly intervening in a misunderstanding with his wife.
He is 43 year old Wale Ogunsanmi who currently cools off at the police station in the Osun State capital.
This follows his arrest by the Osun State Police Command for allegedly stabbing Shina Olaribigbe, a bishop and leader of Rapture Empowerment International in Osogbo, to death.
The incident which has left both church members and other people stunned, occurred on the very first day of the New Year.
The account is that at about 11:25 p.m, Ogunsanmi found the late Bishop in his estranged wife’s home and did not find it funny, and attacked him.
Osun State police command spokesperson, Yemisi Opalola while confirming the arrest of the jealous husband provided a background.

“We were informed that the pastor was at the woman’s house when the husband arrived,” Opalola said.
“The husband stabbed him several times, and he died. It is believed the husband acted on suspicion that the pastor was having an affair with his wife.”
“The command is working to ensure justice is served,” Opalola said .
The police spokesperson, said Ogunsanmi and his wife had been living apart for about a year due to misunderstanding in which the Bishop had been mediating.
On this particular day, he allegedly broke into his estranged wife’s residence and found the bishop in the bedroom.
He attacked him, leading to the clergy man’s death.
He was arrested and the weapon of attack retrieved, while the corpse has been taken to the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital Mortuary for autopsy.
The tragic incident has left residents and members of the church shocked.
