At around 8 o’clock yesterday, a final-year student at the Lagos mainland’s Yaba College of Technology, Yabatech, Akoka was reportedly shot and killed.
According to reports, Bello Akerodele Adisa, the deceased, who was shot in the head in front of the Art Complex, was an HND II student of art and design with the MATRICULATION number F/HD/21/3320024 from the faculty of art.

The institution’s PRO, Joe Ejafor, who confirmed that he heard the news at the school’s N50 billion naira endowment launch, which was hosted at the Eko Hotel and Suit, gave Vanguard this information. He claims, “I can’t determine what actually occurred because the entire management was there at the launch yesterday, but the Police Authority are looking into the situation.”

The killing was confirmed by Superintendent of Police (SP) Benjamin Hundeyin of the Lagos State Police Command.
“I just spoke with the Divisional Police Officer (DPO). It is confirmed,” he said.
