Pastor Chris Okafor’s Se-ual Allegations Case Worsens

The series of sexual allegation cases surrounding the person and ministry of Pastor Chris Okafor may have taken a turn for the worse.

The popular Senior Pastor of the Mountain of Liberation and Miracles Ministries, did the inevitable on January 1 by stepping aside pastoral duties in addition to kneeling before his congregation and apologising .

Mistakes he affirmed has been made, and what remained necessary was to apologise and move forward, he declared before an obviously bewildered congregation.

That apology, rather than assuage feelings, appeared to have worked as fuel on an already volatile surgace.

The latest development is that the Lagos State Police Command, has now entered the matter, through a direct order by the Commissioner of Police, CP Olohundare Jimoh.

He has ordered the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Panti, to dive in and probe allegations of murder levelled against Pastor Chris Okafor.

Meanwhile a legion and one individuals, on social media have now been chasing on the scandal, bringing out new narratives or embellishing already known facts of the matter.

However, following a renewed request by our correspondent on Saturday night with screenshots in which certain persons accused the pastor of murder, the police spokesperson on Sunday said the CP had ordered the SCID to invite the cleric for investigation even though there hasn’t been formal complaints against him.

“The CP has directed the SCID to invite the pastor for investigation, despite the fact that no one has formally come forward to report,” Punch has reported the Lagos PPRO Abimbola Adebisi as stating.

She reportedly stated that she was also personally making efforts to get some of the Youtubers to facilitate access to some witnesses.

It all began on December 14 when Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala stormed the social media with a telling videos accusing the pastor of trying to dump her after milking her femininity for long, and after she had lost a previous relationship because of him

“Who do you want to leave me for”, she had rhetorically questioned the pastor, amidst other shocking revelations.

The video soon gained traction on social media, and succeeded in opening up a basket of canker worms bordering on the pastors series of immoral sexual relationships.

The cap was that she also later issued a legal notice demanding N1bn in damages, alleging threats, intimidation, and unlawful detention by the police after the videos went viral.
