Passport & Visa: Nigeria Immigrations Updates Applicants
The Nigeria Immigration service has updated Nigerians who have issues with regards to their passport & visa services
The service says it has opened a temporary online channels for passport & visa applicants who have one complaint or another to make.
It said on an X post that the activation of temporary complaint-response channels on social media follows a takedown of its support accounts.
These it said were created to ensure uninterrupted engagement with applicants experiencing difficulties with passport and visa processes.
“Following the recent takedown of our support complaints accounts (NIS RESPONSE), which have complemented our official handles (@nigimmigration), the Nigeria Immigration Service has activated temporary backup complaint-response channels to ensure uninterrupted feedback while restoration efforts continue,” the statement read.

Affected applicants, the service added, can now channel their complaints through the temporary X handles @InquireAtNaija, @nigimmigration, and @InquireAtNaija_, as well as via Instagram.
The Eagle reports that the Nigeria Immigration Service, had, recently rolled out the ECOWAS National Biometric Identity Card (ENBIC), a move it says, is to modernise identity management.
The immigration said this would strengthen regional integration and reinforce Nigeria’s leadership in implementing key ECOWAS protocols.
According to the Comptroller-General of Immigration, the ENBIC replaces the outdated manual travel certificate and introduces a secure biometric system that would strengthen regional mobility, promote investment & tourism, economic development, and collective security.
