Onana Rubbishes Anfield Atmosphere After Liverpool’s Draw

Following his perfect record against Liverpool on Sunday, Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana Onana rubbished the famous Anfield atmosphere.

kept his sixth clean sheet in the Premier League on Sunday as United and Liverpool played out a dull goalless draw at Anfield. Both teams put in flat performances, something that was mirrored by the home fans failing to live up to their reputation for generating intimidating atmospheres.

When asked by reporters at full-time about the often intimidating atmosphere at Anfield, Onana said: “I felt nothing.”

Former United defender Gary Neville, a pundit for Sky Sports, noted the low key atmosphere both during and after the game. “The atmosphere was the worst I’ve seen at Anfield, ever,” he stated.

Due to the stalemate, Liverpool was unable to take back the top spot from Arsenal, who had defeated Brighton 2-0 earlier in the day.

Jurgen Klopp will hope that the Anfield faithful will be in better voice when Arsenal come to town on Saturday for a huge top-of-the-table clash.

The following weekend, Onana and United will visit West Ham in an attempt to build on the outcome.
