Ogun NNPP Guber Candidate Promises Redefine Governance

Comrade Olufemi Ajadi, the gubernatorial candidate of New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Ogun State has pledged to reform the state’s government if he wins the election next year.

According to a statement on Monday, he made the vow on Saturday while visiting his Ilaro.

Oguntoyinbo, who was greeted by a sizable gathering of locals, promised the people that their welfare would improve if he were elected as the next governor.

It was about time the populace felt the true impact of democracy, he said, praising the large turnout of Ogun people from all 20 local governments of the state that welcomed him.

“Insecurity; power failure; bad roads and unemployment are the first targets to be tackled before dealing with other challenges one after the other,” he said.

He asked the populace to participate by casting a large number of votes for the NNPP in the next elections.

Oginni Sunday, the state party chairman, also spoke during the event and claimed that the current governor, Dapo Abiodun, had broken pledges made to the public by his party.

He continued by saying that Oguntoyinbo would keep his word in keeping with his custom of promising and doing. He claimed that the NNPP candidate for governor has a history of humanitarianism and would not let the people of Ogun down.

“He has done different empowerment programmes for the youths in Ogun State and also helped some poor students in paying their tuition fees. We are confident that Ajadi will deliver”, he added.

Also speaking. the Southwest Zonal Secretary and Ajadi campaign Director General, Tunde Oke, said the PDP first failed Ogun people before the APC took over, emphasising that it would be through the victory of NNPP that the electorates could overcome the present challenges.

“If we want the positive change to reflect in Ogun State, we should not hesitate to embrace the candidature of Olufemi Ajadi,” he said.

The presence of other Ogun State residents, particularly the women, was acknowledged by Ajadi’s mother, who attended the celebration with a few other relatives.

The elder Oguntoyinbo Ojenike, who is the Iyalode of Ilaro, pleaded with all indigenous people and other electorates in Ogun to help the course of its future by voting massively for his son in the 2023 general election.

She said her son, from youth, had always had the welfare of other people at heart and would help in improving the lives of the people of Ogun.
