No Man In His Right Senses Would Do This –Sultan
No man in his right senses woukld do this, the Sultan of Sokoto, Dr Sa’ad Abubakar III, has lashed out.
The respected monarch was referring to the masterminds of all the killings that have been taking place in Southern Kaduna.
Not only has he described it as madness but added that it must stop.
Speaking during the national executive council meeting of the Northern Traditional Rulers held in Kaduna yesterday, he declared that no man in his right senses will go on a killing spree of innocent people.
According to him, none of the religions practised in this country supported such gruesome acts, fingering politicians carnages.
He declared that failure to stop, that those behind the killings would be consumed by it.
Warning that enough was enough, he said royal fathers were out to put a stop to it.
Last month, the Amir (President) of the Muslim Students’ Society of Nigeria, MSSN, Lagos State Area Unit, Miftahudeen Thanni had expressed concern over the continued killings calling for an immediate end .
Thanni made the remarks, at a media briefing by MSSN to address some national issues, held in Alausa, Ikeja, He called on the government to check whoever is perpetrating the evil going on in Southern Kaduna and put an end to it

“One of the primary responsibilities of government is to secure the citizens and the properties of the citizens. “Security is key, so because of this we still implore the government to do the needful, the government is trying but they have not done their best if they can do better I think this will be a forgotten issue.
“I also want to implore citizens and indigenes of Kaduna state especially Southern Kaduna in particular to sue for peace, to embrace peace at all times, not only by speech but by all their activities”, he said.
Also, recently expressing concern about the killings , The Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), accused both the Kaduna State and Federal Governments of abandoning the victims of attacks in Southern Senatorial District of the State.
The ECWA made its position known In a Communiqué issued at the end of its 67th General Church Council meeting, held at its headquarters in Jos, the Plateau State Capital, and signed by Rev. Stephen Panya Baba and Rev. Yunusa Sabo Nmadu jnr, President and General Secretary respectively.

“The Council views with serious concern the unabated attacks of armed herdsmen and bandits across the country, especially in the Middle belt and Northern States particularly in Southern Kaduna, Niger, Plateau, Benue, Kogi, Katsina, Zamfara, Taraba and Adamawa, as they continue to destroy lives, farms and properties of innocent members of these native communities with impunity.

“The Council condemns in strong terms the mindless killing of the indigenous Christians in Southern Kaduna over the past few weeks which has assumed a genocidal magnitude and calls on the Federal government to apprehend the perpetrators to face the full wrath of the law, and to compensate the victims in the interest of justice”, it said.
