He said he had given a surprise visit to the editor to felicitate with him on the global recognition the Eagle has earned through Google and other information technology Apps.
He went further to say that the virtual and physical recognition the Eagle has retained among its contemporaries is because its reporters; correspondents and editors have been consistently honest with news reports and analyses.
“Journalism is the only profession whose objectives are to educate; inform and reform the public so that citizens would make informed decisions about the current affairs or issues in the public domain,” he said.
He said, “the current image which the Eagle has built for itself has shown that there are renewed hopes for Nigerians through the press, especially the online media which the Eagle medium belongs to and we are assuring Nigerians that NNPP will not jeopardize the rules behind the freedom of expression if voted into power.”
Mr Cami Ezenwa is the managing director; editor-in-chief of the Eagle and also a lecturer at the Nigerian Institute of Journalism.
