NNPP Ogun Gov Candidate Send Condoles With PRP Candidate's Family

New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) gubernatorial candidate in Ogun State, Olufemi Ajadi, has sent a message of comiseration to the family of the late Ogun People’s Redemption Party, PRP, gubernatorial candidate, David Gbamgbose, over his sudden demise.

Ajadi who took time off an Abuja engagement to condole the family also prayed God’s grace upon them to bear the loss.

He, said though the deceased was of a different political philosophy, but that at death was not a right time to begin to discriminate on the basis of ideology or party.

“Besides, my belief is that we are all working towards the good of our dear state and the loss of any son or daughter of Ogun, no matter the political or ideological leaning is a loss to us all”.

Ajadi said the time to truly emancipate Ogun had come and that the task required all hands on the deck
He added that it was not only the family and the political party of the deceased that would feel the vacuum created by Gbembose’s exit but the entire citizens of Ogun.

He said, “I have always seen all the Ogun State gubernatorial candidates as one family despite the difference in our political parties and ideologies.

“It is sad that death has taken one of us.

“I hereby send my condolences to Prof Bamgbose’s family and the entire PRP members in Ogun State.

“I also pray that God will guide all his heirs on the right path and grant them fortitude to bear the big loss,” he said.

THEEAGLE earlier report that the 54-year-old philanthropist and professor of education passed away on Friday at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Lantoro, Abeokuta, where he had been brought following a brief illness, six days after obtaining the party’s governorship nomination.

According to reports, the late Bamgbose had complained of persistent fatigue on Thursday, prompting his family to take him to a private hospital in the Federal Housing Estate, Olomore neighborhood of Abeokuta, where he was then sent on to the Federal Medical Central (FMC), Idi-Aba, Abeokuta.

The late politician was thereafter admitted at the Sacred Heart Hospital, Lantoro, Abeokuta, where he was given oxygen till Friday, when he later passed away, according to Oduntan Olayemi, the deceased’s personal assistant and an assistant senior pastor of Peace and Love Church.

Olayeni said, “he complained of tiredness on Thursday and we decided to take him to a hospital around Olomore. We were referred to FMC for further checks”.

“We opted for Sacred Heart Hospital, Lantoro because of the urgency and he was admitted at the emergency ward where he was administer oxygen till Friday, when he died.”

“When I got back to the hospital yesterday morning and I met him breathing too fast and heavily. I was at where I went to get him some prescribed medication when he has passed on”.
