NNPP Grieves Demise Of Prince Adekunle, Fmr Caretaker Chairman

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has been plunged into mourning following the untimely demise of Alhaji Prince Ibrahim Adekunle, the former Ogun State NNPP State Caretaker Chairman.

Alhaji Adekunle, until his death, an active figure in Ogun State politics, passed away today, August 8, 2024.

Expressing his condolences, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, Chieftain of NNPP in Southwest Nigeria, remarked, “We belong to Allah, and to Him shall we return. I pray that Allah grants him Al-Janat Firdaus.”

Comrade Kilamuwaye Badmus, the Southwest Public Relations Officer of NNPP in Ogun State, described the loss as deeply saddening. “It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved father, brother, and political stalwart, Alhaji Prince Ibrahim Adekunle,” he said. “His contributions to Ogun politics and the NNPP family are immeasurable.”

Alhaji Adekunle’s final resting place will be in Islamic rites at Ago-Iwoye Kingdom, Ogun East Senatorial District, today, Thursday, 8 August.

His death has left a profound void among his family, friends, and political allies, who mourn his departure.

“We pray for Allah to grant solace to his family and the entire community during this difficult time,” Comrade Badmus added, echoing sentiments of support from the NNPP and broader political community.

Receiving the news with a shock, Editor of The Eagle Newsmedia, Cami Ezenwa, described the late Prince Adekunle as an amiable personality, with transparent loyalty to both the NNPP and its ultimate flagbearer in the state, Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo.

“The party has obviously lost a dedicated man but it is God that knows all”, he said.

The NNPP community in Ogun State and beyond continues to remember Alhaji Prince Ibrahim Adekunle for his dedicated service and unwavering commitment to the political development of Ogun State.
