Eddie Nketiah, an out-of-favour striker, is the subject of fresh interest from Crystal Palace, and Arsenal is apparently making a big decision about his future.

The Daily Mail claims that Arsenal has rejected Palace’s first approach for the England international. The 24-year-old isn’t for sale during the January transfer window, the Eagles have been informed.

Despite his early season brilliance, Nketiah was relegated to the bench when Gabriel Jesus recovered to full strength. However, the Gunners ruled out any possible sale in January since Mikel Arteta still thinks highly of his skill set and regards him as a key member of the team.

Nketiah has six goals and four assists this campaign for Arsenal, with five of those strikes coming in the Premier League. Jesus also has 10 goal contributions, seven strikes and three assists, which shows why Arteta values Nketiah as one of the key members of his squad.

Arsenal is rumoured to be interested in Ivan Toney, and even if they are successful in signing the Brentford forward, Arteta will reportedly not let the 24-year-old go because he wants to bolster his squad’s depth before the 2023–24 season comes to an end. On Sunday, they will play Fulham once more.
