NIJ Celebrates Double, 2021 Convocation & 50th Anniversary

The Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) Ogba Lagos, will be a beehive from Monday, when activities for its 2021 convocation and 50th anniversary peak.

The convocation is the sixth in the series, and is coinciding with the 5oth anniversary of the school.  Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi would be delivering the convocation lecture under the title: Media, Security And Nation Building inside the auditorium of the school, beginning from 11:00am.

On the sidelines would be a photo exhibition, and entrepreneurial products exhibition

Presentation of certificates and award of fellowship by the Chairman, Governing Council, Chief Olusegun Osoba, former governor of Ogun State, would however take place on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at tjhe same venue and time.

According to the school, over 908 graduands will be receiving certificates in different areas of study during the convocation.

The National Diploma (ND) programme has the highest number of graduands at 384, followed by the Higher National Diploma (HND) at 295 while the Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) programme has 167 graduands..

Proficiency Certificate in Photojournalism (PCPJ) programme has 19 graduands while the Effective Writing and Communication (EWC)  would be graduating 43.
