Nigerians Bemoan As Fuel Scarcity Bites Harder

Long queues have reemerged in many Lagos neighbourhoods, with commuters complaining of increase in transport fares due to fuel scarcity

There are reports of sales of fuel at black market rates, poor power supply, and irregular supply of pipe-borne water which has affected the livelihood of people living in Ketu area especially.

In an interview with The Eagle correspondent on Saturday, Tolulope Akande a residents of Ketu , expressed total bitterness on the situation:

“I can no longer bear this suffering; no light, no water, and no even fuel to power generator to pump water and supply water”.

Another resident of the area, Ibrahim Akinshola who runs a business center said “This subsidy is chocking Nigerians; transport is high, no light and fuel is scarce;  it is affecting my business day by day”.

Tajudeen Oladele a commercial driver also shared his experience on how he finds it hard to get fuel which has resulted in high transport

Some Nigerians are of the opinion that the government should hear the pleas of the common man and find a solution to the issue of fuel subsidy.
