The Nigeria Immigration Service, (NIS) has announced an upward review of Nigerian Standard Passport fees, effective 1 September 2025.
The service confirmed the upward review in price on its social media handles and official website, stating that it was in the bid to uphold the integrity of the Nigerian passport.
In the release, signed by Assistant Comptroller of Immigration (ACI) A.S Akinlabi Public Relations Officer (PRO), the service, stated:
“The review which only affect Passport Application fees made in Nigeria, now set a new fee thresholds for 32-page with 5-year validity at N100,000 and 64-page with 10-year validity at N200,000”.
IT added however that Nigerian Passport Application fees made by Nigerians in diaspora remain unchanged at $150 for 32-page with 5-year validity and $230 for 64-page with 10-year validity.

“The Service reiterates its commitment to balancing quality service delivery with the need to ensure Passport services are accessible to all Nigerians”, the release added.
The Eagle reports that the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), last week concluded a one-day sensitisation engagement for retired Immigration officers and operators of Free Trade Zones in Lagos and Ogun states, promoting synergy and information sharing.
The Comptroller General, KN Nandap, who was represented by ACG FU Nwanneka, in-charge of Visa and Residency Directorate delivered the keynote address, charging all stakeholders to key into the new policy of a revamped visa application process.
