Nicholas Jackson Avoids Punishment For Post-Match Throat Grab on Everton’s Nathan Patterson In Heated Clash

The FA has not fined Nicolas Jackson, Chelsea’s forward for grabbing Everton’s Nathan Patterson by his throat.

Journalist Matt Law claims that following a furious altercation at Goodison Park on Sunday with Nathan Patterson of Everton, star attacker Nicolas of Chelsea avoided discipline from the FA.

The Blues lost 2-0 against Everton in the Premier League, suffering yet another setback. Jackson got into a heated argument with the opposing player after the game, even grabbing him by the throat.

The Senegalese international was substituted for Armando Broja up front in the 67th minute of the match, having not been included in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting eleven.

Jackson’s lacklustre finishing prevented the Blues from mounting a comeback. The goals of Lewis Dobbins and Abdoulaye Doucoure carried the Toffees to a vital three points from the match.

The former Villarreal player started his Chelsea career a bit sour, but he soon found his form. He scored just once in his first seven Premier League games, but in his past nine games—including a hat-trick against Tottenham last month—he has hit the net five times.

Pochettino’s team is currently 18 points behind league leaders Liverpool and 14 behind fourth-place Manchester City after suffering back-to-back losses to Everton and Manchester United. When they play Sheffield United on Saturday, they’ll be looking to get back to their winning ways.
