Following Manchester United’s triumph over Chelsea, Scott McTominay disclosed Erik ten Hag’s game plan for his squad.

The Manchester United midfielder, McTominay, scored twice to help the Red Devils defeat Chelsea in a crucial match. The victory eased some of the strain on Ten Hag, who has faced criticism for both his handling of the team’s injuries this season. This season, the squad has suffered numerous injuries to important players. At Old Trafford, players have been struggling with muscle problems on a regular basis, which have been attributed to the Dutchman’s intense training schedule. Ten Hag had been a little lenient on his players prior to the Chelsea encounter, as McTominay disclosed following the game.

McTominay told Amazon Prime: “What changed? The manager. The way we approached the game and some light training sessions to keep the energy high with a lot of games coming and keep the pressure on the teams above us”.

Ten Hag is facing a lot of criticism these days since United does not have a distinct style of play. But they created plenty of opportunities and appeared to be back to their peak offensively against the Blues. The pressure has been mounting on the Dutchman in recent weeks, so it was a game he had to win. Despite Saturday’s lacklustre performance against Newcastle, United has now won four of their past five Premier League games.

The Scottish midfielder and the Red Devils will now play their next match on Saturday, December 9, against Bournemouth, with the goal of making their first-ever appearance in the top four this season.
