Man Utd Make Decision Over Wan-Bissaka Future With Current Deal Set To Expire In 2024

A new contract for Aaron Wan-Bissaka has been put on hold by Manchester United, who reversed their earlier decision.

The Daily Mail claims that the Red Devils have altered their minds about offering the full-back a new contract, despite their conviction that they would do so as soon as the summer transfer market closed.

Wan-Bissaka’s current contract expires in 2024 but he has a 12-month extension clause in his existing. For now, United are planning to trigger the extension clause and keep the player until 2025 rather than offering him a new long-term deal.

Following a hamstring injury last month, the 25-year-old English defender, Wan-Bissaka has just started back at training. The player can sign a contract with a foreign team in January and go for free in the summer if the Red Devils fail to activate the extension provision by the end of this year.
