Man United Criticised For Strange Eriksen Post
The Manchester United social media team issued a strange “more life” greeting to Christian Eriksen, which left fans puzzled and furious.
The Red Devils celebrated Eriksen’s 32nd birthday on February 14th on social media with a caption that garnered a lot of attention in the post’s comments section. The’more life’ reference left many users perplexed. The Dane had collapsed on the pitch during his team’s Euro 2020 group-stage match against Finland due to a cardiac arrest.

Indeed, the comments section of the Instagram post is dominated by supporters expressing their confusion at the choice of words used for the caption, with one user writing: “Admin carefully choosing the worst caption of all time 😭😭”
Another comment, that was liked by almost 6,000 other users, stated: “TF do you mean by more life?😭… Eriksen catching strays.”
Other commenters added: “What the hell is that caption?”, “I dont know wether its only me but i find the “more life” caption weird…. Feels like his living a borrowed life” and “Naaah Wtf is that caption!”
Supporters’ confusion is evidently a result of Eriksen’s cardiac arrest that occurred in June 2021 while he was playing for Denmark. After the terrifying event, the former Inter midfield player had to have an implanted cardioverter defibrillator, which prevented him from playing in Serie A. In January 2022, Eriksen signed with Brentford, and in the summer of that same year, he moved to Old Trafford despite doubts about his ability to play again.
Eriksen will definitely want to make his way into Ten Hag’s starting lineup by the conclusion of the season. The 2023–24 Premier League season has seen just 15 Premier League games from the former Tottenham midfielder, who has been relegated to a bench duty. The United boss prefers Kobbie Mainoo and Casemiro in the central midfield position. Even though the Dane has a contract with Old Trafford that runs through at least 2025, he will probably need to think about his future in the summer.
