Americans were shaken to the marrows yesterday after a wildfire erupted overnight in Los Angeles County near Pasadena and Altadena.

Authorities which are still trying to ascertain the cause of the fires address the newest fire near Pasadena as “Eaton Fire,” which as at the time of report had grown to encompass 400 acres.

The fires are flourishing in the “high winds .. posing a significant threat to nearby communities and making containment efforts challenging.”

“The combination of low humidity, dry fuels, and shifting winds has heightened the potential for spot fires and rapid expansion. Residents are urged to remain alert and follow instructions from local authorities as the situation evolves,” one alert reportedly said.
