Living Faith Church’s Medical Outreach Berths At Oke-Ira

Living Faith Church, through its District 3, under Province 28 today stormed the Oke-Ira community of Ogba, Ikeja area of Lagos with a medical outreach.

The Eagle Correspondent who covered the event reports that this show of the milk of human kindness held at the Ayo Alabi Car Wash in the area, saw many residents of the community trooping out.

The Resident Pastor of the district, Dr. Bamidele Babatunde, the programme was organised to market Jesus, medically to people.

Also speaking, a member of District 1, Dr. Deji Akinola, added that the idea of the medical outreach was to meet the medical needs of the people.

According to him, aside helping people to redeem their health, it was also a strategy of winning souls to Christ.

“We didn’t just come to heal. We’ve brought Jesus to them who is going to meet them spirit, soul and body”.

The Registrar, Mrs Michalle Olarinde, who is also in the hospitality unit said, the health of residents of Oke-ira community member was of great concern to them as a church and that they were planning to make it an annual programme, despite it being a strategy to increase souls harvest.

According to her, over 103 people were beneficiary of the medical outreach.

The higher percentage of the beneficiaries were of 60 and above age grade who came mainly for general check-up and next eyes; others were youths.

A beneficiary, Titilayo Fapohunda, who is a public service worker with the Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) said she got information about the medical outreach through a hand bill, said she had been suffering from eye problem for a long time.

“This programme has be able to meet my medical needs. I was checked, given eyes glasses and drugs” she said.

Another beneficiary, equally of LAWMA), Mr Ebenizer Akinsode expressed satisfaction with the way that they were treated, adding that the doctor in charge of general check-up, whom she simply identified as Dr. Ademola gave him hundred 100% attention.

“I came for consultation and the doctor attended to me very well”, Mr Akinsode said.
