Liverpool Goalie Joins Salah As Priority Saudi Transfer Target

Saudi Arabian teams are pursuing Mohamed Salah and Alisson Becker at Liverpool in their summer transfer window as they look to re-sign high-profile players.

Saudi Pro League clubs, who spent over £750 million ($950 million) last summer, are reportedly seeking a significant investment period once more, according to The Guardian. Last time around, Salah was the target of Al-Ittihad, who put up a £150 million ($190 million) deal that the Reds turned down.

The Egypt international’s contract expires next summer, so Liverpool might be more open to an offer. Saudi teams are willing to attempt again for him. Alisson, who is covered by a contract that expires in 2027, has also been identified as a possible target. Raphael Varane of Manchester United and Casemiro of Manchester United are also being considered for possible trades; the latter has announced his departure from Old Trafford.

Salah’s performance has slightly declined this year. After scoring 30 goals and dishing out 16 assists in all competitions in the previous season, he has managed to score 39 goals this time around. Liverpool has not fared well in the Premier League or the Europa League, despite winning the Carabao Cup.

Liverpool’s final game of the Premier League season comes against Wolves, although there is nothing for the Reds to play for but pride in Jurgen Klopp’s final game in charge. They have already secured a third-placed finish.
