Last 10 Chelsea Managers Will Be Out Of Work This Summer

Chelsea season has been extremely difficult, and their past managers haven’t had much of an improvement either.

According to a report by The Daily Mail, Maurizio Sarri’s departure from Lazio earlier this week means that the remaining ten full-time Chelsea managers will not have jobs come summertime. The list spans 11 years, beginning with Andre Villas-Boas and concluding with Graham Potter.

Villas-Boas, Roberto Di Matteo, Rafa Benitez, Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte, Maurizio Sarri, Frank Lampard, Thomas Tuchel, and Potter are among those on the list.

Villas-Boas hasn’t held a footballing job since 2021 and the same has been the case with Hiddink who retired from management. Meanwhile, Di Matteo is now a sporting director at South Korean side Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors. In the past month, Benitez and Mourinho have both been sacked by their respective sides mid-season due to a lack of improvement. Conte and Potter haven’t held a coaching job since their sacking by the Blues, while Lampard hasn’t returned to management since his three-month-long interim stint at the club following Potter’s exit. Tuchel and Sarri will mutually end their times at Bayern Munich and Lazio respectively and will also be looking for new clubs.

The list might very well increase to eleven given that Mauricio Pochettino, the current Chelsea manager, is having a terrible season at Stamford Bridge. The strange statistic will increase once more if he does decide to leave Chelsea.

The Blues will give it their best when they play Leicester City in the FA Cup on Saturday in an attempt to advance to the competition’s semi-final, while Pochettino’s career is in jeopardy.
