Lagos Residents Applaud INEC On PVC Collection Process

Some residents of Yaba in the Yaba Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Lagos State, have commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) over the ongoing Permanent Voters Card (PVC) collection.

At the Onike Girls High School, Iwaya Centre, where the exercise is taking place, a Clergyman, Pastor Agbeyemi Adebayo, hailed the INEC for organising what he described as a rancor-free exercise, adding: “Having participated in this kind of exercise for over a decade, I think this is the first time I experienced a seamless performance from the commission.”

On his Part, a Banker- Bosun Adewolu, said it was seamless and commended the INEC staff at the Centre for a good job.

He however advised the electoral Umpire, to do more sensitisation in helping Voters especially those whose cards are gathering dust with INEC but, not aware the Cards have been brought to the doorsteps.

A Trader,-Maryam Gbadamosi and a Lagos Based Chef-Olatundun also commended INEC for making the issue of PVC collection, devoid of Problems.

The Eagle reports that the Independent National Electoral Commission had started the Process of PVC collection for eligible voters, across the Country since December 12,2022 and recently extended it to January 22nd,2023..

Going by INEC guidelines, The Presidential and National Assembly Elections will hold on February 25,2023 while the Governorship and State Houses of Assembly Elections are slated for March 11 of the Same year
