Lady Without Home Delivers Baby Boy Under The Bridge

A lady without a home to call her own, has received a rare bundle of blessing, by giving birth to a baby boy, right under a bridge.
As people welcome the rare blessing, going on in the minds of observers already is: where would the new baby be raised since the mum has no home.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) said that its ambulance team at Eti-osa delivered the lady, Ms Blessing Emmanuel, a 35 year-old woman of the baby.
Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, DG/CEO LASEMA, told Newsmen on Saturday that the baby was delivered at about 4:30 p.m under the Ajah Bridge in Lagos state.
”The lady, who has no home nor family in Lagos, is from Cross River State.
”Mother and baby are fine and have been taken to Island Maternity where they will get expert care,” Oke-Osanyintolu said.
This is not the first time such rare deliveries have taken place in different parts of the country.
Last May was another example as officers of the Lagos State Police Command rescued a homeless mother-of-four who gave birth to a baby girl by the roadside in broad daylight.
The officers wrapped the newborn baby up and took her, her mother, and the four older children to the Eti-Osa Primary Healthcare Centre.
Incidentally, the Mother and baby were doing fine.
Sharing photos from the scene, the Lagos State Police command wrote: “Our officers in Ikate Elegushi got a distress call this morning for assitance of a homesless mother of four who gave birth to a baby girl on the road.
“Our officers got to the scene and evacuated the new born and mother with her four children to Eti-Osa Primary Health Care Centre.”

Some regard it as ironies of fate, in that some other women, in well catered circumstances some time experience difficulty in child deliveries, whereas hapless others, with literally no one to care easily put to bed in open spaces, with little or not medical intervention.
