Lady Agrees To Being Raped Twice Because Of Fake Gun

Which lady would not cooperate with a man who had a gun in his hands, at that time of the night, and at such a lonely place, especially under threat of being shot.

A 38 year old lady at Awka who found herself in the situation agreed to being raped twice on a stretch only for the gun to turn out to be fake.

Well, the deed had already been done, the only consolation being that the rapist, identified as Emeka Okeke, who recently returned from Awka Correctional Centre recently for alleged manslaughter, back again in the hands of men of the Anambra State Police Command.

The incident took place on Friday at Okpuno, Awka South Local Government Area, close to Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK) temporary site, according to the State Police Public Relation’s Officer, Mohammed Haruna.

Providing a background, Haruna, said on May 7, Emeka Okeke a 36 year old woman resident at UNIZIK temp-site Awka,  reported at B Division Awka that at about 9:pm  of the previous day, that the said Emeka Okeke trailed her as she departed from her friend at Okochi Okpuno, and once closer, raised his shirt to show her a ‘gun’ tucked in his waist.

The 28 year old Emeka Okeke also threatened to shoot her dead if she did not submit herself  to have carnal knowledge of her.

“Consequently, the frightened victim, believing it was a real gun, and under the fear of being shot dead, followed him to a building in Okochi where he forcefully had unlawful carnal knowledge of her.

“Again, while being led out of the scene, the suspect  forcefully led her to the premises of Community Primary School, Okpuno, where he had another round of carnal knowledge with the victim.

“Following the report, the suspect was trailed and arrested by police detectives in conjunction with vigilante group attached to Opuno Community.

“Search was conducted on the suspect instantly and the handle of a cutting hand saw, semblance of a shotgun, which he concealed underneath his shirt, was recovered as exhibit.

“Meanwhile, victim was taken to the hospital for medical examination and presently receiving treatment.

“The suspect is also a notorious offender who recently returned from the correctional centre, Awka, over alleged case of manslaughter,” he said

He said the suspect would be charged to court after discreet investigation by the Command, adding that the Commissioner of Police, John Abang, had ordered that the case be transferred to the State Criminal Investigative Department (SCID).
