The Labour Party (LP) has succeeded in stopping the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) using Chairman of Lagos Parks and Garrages, Musiliu Akinsanya to ferry election materials.

This it did by filing a case before the Federal High Court in Lagos and asking that the unit led by Akinssanya be not engaged in the critical assignment.

The court presided by Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke granted LP’s prayers.

Though details of the court judgment is still awaited by The Eagle newsroom, our findings show that Akinsanya, popularly known as Oluomo, is a known ally of the All Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu.

He is believed to have had a phenomenal rise in the politics of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) now proscribed through the patronage of Tinubu right from his days as governor of Lagos State.

The Eagle also reports that last October, Oluoma, alongside “Team Lagos, Nigeria’, a support group, facilitated a “five million” solidarity walk in support of Tinubu’s presidential aspirations.

He was to tell the crowd later that the walk was to demonstrate the massive support he has for Mr Tinubu’s presidential ambition.
