JUSTIN: Man United And Cristiano Ronaldo Cut Ties By Mutual Consent

Following his shocking interview with Piers Morgan, Manchester United has announced that Cristiano Ronaldo has left the team with immediate effect.

The 37-year-two-part old’s explosive interview with Morgan on TalkTV last week led to the news.

Manchester United released a 67-word statement on Tuesday that said: Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Manchester United immediately, per a mutual agreement.

“The club thanks him for his immense contribution across two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wishes him and his family well for the future.

“Everyone at Manchester United remains focused on continuing the team’s progress under Erik ten Hag and working together to deliver success on the pitch.’

Ronaldo released his own statement following the news, writing: “Following conversations with Manchester United, we have mutually agreed to end our contract early.

“I love Manchester United and I love the fans, that will never ever change. However, it feels like the right time for me to seek a new challenge.

“I wish the team every success for the remainder of the season and for the future.”

The Red Devils discussed the potential of ending Ronaldo’s contract seven months early without paying any of the £16 million he is expected to make by June 2023 during Ronaldo’s conversation with Morgan.

With his criticism of the club’s US owners, manager Erik ten Hag, the club’s facilities, his teammates, and former Red Devils players Wayne Rooney and Gary Neville, United believed Ronaldo had broken the terms of his contract.

Just two days before Ronaldo begins Portugal’s World Cup finals campaign against Ghana, the announcement was made.

Ronaldo, who has only scored three goals at the club level this season (2022–23), continued by referring to himself as “bullet proof” and “iron clad,” and then he asked media to stop questioning him about remarks he made on the eve of a significant international competition.
