Josephine Panyin Mensah, the 28 year old Ghana woman from Takoradi, has made fresh revelations about her controversial kidnap.
In more confessional statements to the team of medical and investigation officers at the Effia-Nkwanta Regional Hospital, Josephine Panyin Mensah said she faked a pregnancy and arranged her kidnap all in connivance with her mother.
Her reason she said, is because she needed pampering from her husband, Michael.
Her latest submissions are in contradiction to her earlier stance before the investigating team that she got pregnant for four months but lost the pregnancy.
Instead, she said she enjoyed the extra treatment and attention during the four months of her real pregnancy, that she bought a silicone belly when she could not find it easy to inform the husband the pregnancy had been lost.
She said her mother was aware of the plan every step of the way, and that she was afraid to lose her marriage.
The cat was however let out of the bag, when after she was due for delivery, neigbours began to ask questions that she hatched the idea of a self kidnap.
When the nvestigating team asked if she never had sex during and after wearing the silicone belly, she responded she covered her fake pregnancy with a cloth.
It was after nine months of her fake pregnancy when pressure started mounting on her about when she would deliver that she faked the kidnapping
Josephine Panyin Mensah also alleged that she went into hiding at Agona Nkwanta but did not know her fake kidnapping could receive such attention from the country

She was discharged from the Effia-Nkwanta hospital Friday afternoon after the great confession
Police men are still quizzing husband and wife in an effort to ger to the very roots of the matter.
