International Day of Education: Tinubu Promises Nigerian Youths

As the world marks the 2026 International Day of Education today, the Federal Government is making grand promises for Nigerian youths.

It did this through a release by the Federal Ministry of Education, reiterating its dedication to building an inclusive, equitable, and future-ready education system.

The President Bola Tinubu administration said its education reform would place Nigerian youths at the heart of transforming the nation’s learning landscape.

“Education reforms under President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda prioritise improved funding, skills development, digital learning, TVET expansion, strengthened teacher capacity and safe, learner-friendly environments”, it said in the release.

It added:  “With over half of Nigeria’s population under the age of 30, the Federal Government is transitioning from top-down education models to participatory systems that empower learners through innovation, digital fluency and entrepreneurship.

“The Federal Government called on parents, communities, the private sector and partners to deepen collaboration towards achieving SDG 4 and securing Nigeria’s future through youth-led education transformation.”

“The Federal Government remains committed to ensuring that every Nigerian learner has access to quality education, equipped with the skills, digital fluency, and entrepreneurial mindset needed to drive national transformation”, the statement added
