There is increasing concern about the influx of terrorists and bandits into the southwest region, as indeed the southeast

If there is anyone or quarters to blame for the loose security situation enabling the influx of terrorists into the southwest, it is governors in the region.

This they are doing by not collaborating effectively with security groups, including the Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) and the Hunters’ Association.

This is the stance of the OPC, going by interviews granted Vanguard on the matter.

The medium quotes the founder of OPC, Iba Gani Adams, as stating that the South West governors are yet to respond to his requests to partner with the state security architectures to get rid of terrorists and bandits across the zone.

Speaking through his Special Assistant on Media, Kehinde Aderemi, said efforts were on to stop the spate of insecurity in Yorubaland, through making it hot for terrorists and members to operate.

“Apart from the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, there are still over 10 private security groups, known as the Southwest Security Stakeholders Group, SSSG, under my leadership and are ready to flush terrorists and bandits out of Yorubaland”, he said..

The OPC in the Southwest was therefore waiting on the governors in the region to swing into full action he said.
