‘I’m Ready To Sleep With Any Man Who’ll Give Me N500 To Buy Bread’

It is the shocker of the year, but again, a clear indication of how bad things had gotten in the wake of the lockdown for the rampaging corona virus pandemic

An elderly woman has come out openly to canvas for sex for anyone willing to offer her N500 to buy bread..

The story which is making the rounds on social media, shows a picture of an obviously distressed woman who at her wits end has offered open up herself in exchange for food..

The story which is accompanied by a video, portrays the woman identified to be from Igbore in Abeokuta saying: that she was hungry and had not received any help from government because of the lockdown, and since she was hungry needed help at any cost.

A second but related story supported her story with the picture of a young man supposedly the woman’s son, who though was wearing a smiley mien contrary to almost frowning and disturbed disposition of her mother.

Reports from other unconfirmed platforms have slightly varying accounts of the breaking story, which undertone is still desperation as a result of hunger and no opportunities to work and earn a pay.

Our correspondent who was at the Idimiu/Ejigbo axis of Lagos reports a related incident whereby a group of desperate residents stormed the premises of the Chrisland College located there , and asking for any palliative.

Even if the above were to be exaggerated, there had been worse accounts that had been told since the outset of the lockdown.

Ironically, while a number of organisations, have volunteered money and material things for the vulnerable, getting these across to the people who need them has become a herculean task.

But why this is really the case is difficult to understand. Why areent we seeing real people who have been succored courtesy of the government’s intervention.

Perhaps, really, let us see journalists being taken to locations and spots where these palliatives are distributed as second evidences, otherwise, then something, just like many people are believing, is fishing.

If a woman at that age could make such a pleas, her dignity notwithstanding, you could imagine what could be happening under close doors and other privates.
