Ilana Omo Oodua To Unveil Radio Ijangbara, Jan 1 For Promotion Of Yoruba Self-Determination Struggle

Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide (IOOW), the leading organization in the Yoruba self-determination struggle, will publicly introduce Radio Ijangbara as the movement’s official broadcast radio on January 1, 2023.

Live broadcasts will be made via the web radio from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE).

The radio will serve the interests of the Yoruba self-determination fight both inside and outside the borders of Nigeria, according to a joint statement issued by the group’s Chairman and General Secretary, Professor Wale Adeniran and Dr. Tunde Amusat, respectively.

Everyone can access the radio through its website, www.ijangbararadio.com, according to Adeniran and Amusat, and they can download its mobile application from the Google Play store.

The statement said, “We are inviting all Yoruba self-determination activists to the launch and formal unveiling of Ijangbara Radio on 1st January, 2023. This radio is being donated by Ilana Omo Oodua, being the apex body, to serve as the official broadcast radio of the Yoruba self-determination struggle.”

According to the statement, the launch will begin at 8 p.m. West African Time and be streamed live on Zoom.

Adebayo Orire, a physician with a practice in Ado, Ekiti, and Alhaji Alli Oyedeji, also known as Baba Dodo, a former head of the Kajola Local Government Area in Oyo State, have been named patrons of the station, according to Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide.

Oyedeji is an Oyo State native who is from Okeho in the Kajola Local Government Area. Between 1996 to 1997, he served as the municipal government of Kajola’s chairman.

According to the statement, he was a “renowned community leader” who had previously held positions on the National Salaries and Wages Commission and the Governing Council of The Polytechnic of Ibadan.

Orire is a “grassroots mobilizer,” a community leader, and the current chairman of Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide’s Elite Mobilization Committee. He made two unsuccessful runs for the office of governor of Ekiti State.

Orire and Oyedeji would reportedly “work with the Worldwide Executive Council of Ilana Omo Oodua to guarantee that its purposes and objectives are actualized, immaculately,” according to the announcement.
