Wonders they say will never cease, or how would you explain what is currently happening in Benue State where allegations of missing genital have become rife.

It is to the extent that the governor, Dr Samuel Ortom has challenged those spreading thus: If You Say Your Genital Is Missing, Show Us Evidence,

In plain terms, he has challenged people peddling the allegation to show proof by presenting themselves for physical examination.

Thus far, the only one person who turned out could not prove his claim of missing as his manhood was still in place.

Consequently, Gov Ortom warned the people against any breakdown of law and order and said such acts would be tackled by the security agents.

The state had been rocked in the recent, by allegations of disappearance of male genitals, tracing the issue to individuals possessing mystical powers.

Despite this,  it had led to arson in Daudu in the Guma Local Government Area of the state, a development that forced the governor to race to the place.

 “There was no single confirmed case of the incident”, he was later quoted by NAN to have declared, using the opportunity to speak against people taking their laws into their own hands, instead of reporting any case to the appropriate quarters.

The governor said the concocted tales of male genital disappearance was not true but only meant to encourage hatred and underdevelopment of the area.

 “it was unthinkable for the youth in the area to embark on destruction of property for a nonexistent disappearance of genital organs”.

According to the governor, the allegation could scare potential investors from the local government and by extension the state, advising those behind it to stop.

The Eagle can report that allegations of missing genital has equally rocked Lagos, the country’s commercial capital at some point in the past.

It became so serious that the slightest contact by innocent people led to frayed nerves and sometimes jungle justice.
