I can’t continue, my life Is In Danger, is the declaration from the Collation officer for the presidential election in Rivers State.
The collation officer is Professor Teddy Charles Adias, Vice Chancellor of Federal University, Otuoke, Bayelsa State.

Prof Adias made good his threat, over allegations that his life was in danger, and that was after results of 21 out of the 23 local government areas of the State had been collated.
Only results from Obio Akpor and Degema LGAs were being awaited before his decision.
Not only that, the collation officer is saying expect the issue is resolved, that he would not continue the exercise.
Tuesday was initially fixed for collation of results in the outstanding LGAs, before the allegation that his life had become endangered.

It was not clear however where the threat was coming from.
The Eagle reports that there have been similar reports of threats to life of collation officers and other field staff members of the electoral commission,, as well as manipulation of the process thereby endangering its credibility
In the incident under focus, the university don says he was being accused of being responsible for all the alleged electoral Malpractices in Rivers.
