Tragedy has struck for a final year student writing his project: His attempt to install solar panels has led to his death.
The final year student of Petroleum Training Institute, Effurun, Delta State was electrocuted in the process of installing solar panels on a one-storey building.
Those who witnessed the incident said the incident happened when the student, who resided with his parents at Bowen Avenue close to the area attempted climbing up to the position to install solar panels.

There was a high tension cable running through and connecting a commercial bank (name withheld) where he was magnetied and electrocuted.
There were reports of spirited efforts by standers-by to save the life of the final year student, with one gallantly using a plank to try to detach him from the current.
